TULIP Internship Program
The TULIP Internship Program (The Urban Learning Internship Program) is a government initiative that connects graduates with internship opportunities in Urban Local Bodies (ULBs) and smart cities across India. Who is Eligible for TULIP Internships?
To apply for TULIP internships, candidates must be Indian citizens who have completed their diploma, graduate, or postgraduate programs within the last 36 months. Students awaiting their final results are also eligible to apply, provided they submit their degree certificates before the completion of the internship.
How to Apply for TULIP Internships
The entire application process is conducted online through the TULIP platform. Candidates can apply for up to seven internships simultaneously. Shortlisted candidates are invited for an interview, which may be conducted online or offline by the respective ULB or smart city. Successful applicants receive a digital offer letter through the portal.
Work Structure and Internship Types
Internships under the TULIP program cover various domains in urban governance. While most internships require on-site work, some virtual internships are available depending on the project. Interns are provided with a structured work plan and are overseen by a nodal officer to ensure they meet their internship objectives.
