Student Internships Scheme
Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must meet the following requirements:
- Citizenship: Must be a citizen of India.
- Educational Background:
- Currently pursuing or recently completed UG/PG/PhD from a recognized University/Institution (India/Abroad).
- Applicants who have completed their degree within the last six months and are seeking an internship for profile enhancement are also eligible.
- Mode of Study: Must be enrolled in a regular on-campus program or have completed a regular on-campus program.
- Academic Performance: A minimum aggregate of 60% or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale.
Guidelines
- A bona fide certificate from the Head of the Department/Principal/Director is mandatory, confirming that the internship period forms part of the course curriculum.
- The internship will last a maximum of 45 days and does not need to be continuous.
- Note that interns will not receive any stipend or financial assistance.
- Accommodation is not provided, although canteen facilities will be available similar to regular employees.
- Upon satisfactory completion and submission of the assignment report, a certificate will be awarded.
- Interns must obtain clearance from NESAC before publishing any work related to their internship.
Student Project Trainees Scheme
Eligibility Criteria
Students interested in undertaking academic project work at NESAC must:
- Be a citizen of India.
- Possess an aggregate of at least 60% or a CGPA of 6.32 on a 10-point scale.
- Meet the following duration requirements based on their degree:
- B.E/B.Tech: Completed 6th semester – Minimum project duration of 45 days.
- B.Sc: Final year students – Minimum project duration of 45 days.
- M.E/M.Tech or M.Sc: Completed 1st semester – Minimum project duration of 120 days.
- PhD: Completed coursework – Minimum project duration of 30 days.
Guidelines
- Similar to the Internship Scheme, a bona fide certificate is required, confirming that the project training is part of the course curriculum.
- No stipend or financial assistance will be provided.
- Accommodation is not available; however, canteen access is extended to all trainees.
- A certificate will be granted upon successful completion and evaluation of the assignment report by the concerned Division Heads.
- Publishing work related to the project requires clearance from NESAC.
Application Timelines & Process
NESAC has set specific timelines for applications based on project start dates:
- Projects starting May – June: Feb 1 – Mar 31
- Projects starting July – August: Apr 1 – May 31
- Projects starting December: Sep 1 – Oct 15
- Projects starting January: Oct 15 – Nov 15
